DigiSquad is a team of entrepreneurs in the Payments Industry looking to grow the reach of modern payment platforms into under-serviced communities across the African continent.

Our Mission.

Our mission is to launch the leading Payments Platform and Solutions business in Southern Africa.

We aim to deliver:

  • Products for the under-banked making financial services accessible and increasing prosperity for all. 

  • Advising clients on growth, new markets, and disruptive technology for their strategy.

  • Inter-operable platforms catering for all stores of values including bank accounts and wallets.

Meet The Squad:

  • Bishnen Kumalo

    Founder / Chief Executive Officer

    Bishnen has over twenty years international working experience in Information Technology. She holds a Masters from the London School of Economics and Political science in Information Systems and a Bachelors and Honours from the University of Cape Town.

    Her experience spans the African continent and Europe. She has held an Executive level position as the Head of Modernisation for BankservAfrica and was the appointed Programme Director for the Rapid Payments Programme - South Africa's first implementation of a Faster Payments capability. She also dedicates her time as a non-Executive Director on the Board of the Johannesburg Housing Corporation.

  • Lundi Kumalo

    Chief Operations Officer

    Lundi has made a career of Programme Management in projects across Technology, Banking and Engineering. He has a solid range of Programme Management experience. This has ranged from being second-in-command of a 100+ strong cross-continental Design and Engineering team looking at upgrading the Richards Bay Coal Line, to heading up a PMO at the Development Bank of South Africa.

    Most recently in Technology and Banking, he has run programmes developing Cloud Enablement, Application re-branding and the development and implementation of a cross-bank project management system, to name a few.

  • Keitumetse Koboekae

    Chief Digital Officer

    Keitu is a seasoned Programme executor who intertwines Product and Business growth objectives in delivery execution. She has over seventeen years experience in Financial Services delivering diverse digital products across multiple channels Online, Host/Unattended and API). Her roots are based on a strong consulting background and has played numerous roles in Programme and Product oversight.

    She has driven Product Development across the continent in the field of Cashless solutions. More recently Keitu was the Programme Lead for the Rapid Payments Programme.
